cuddle+kind
cuddle+kind was an online retail start-up when I first started working with them. I was delighted to learn that these dolls are special....they give back! Each doll purchased provides 10 meals to children in need around the world through their Giving Partners. I was tasked with helping to building the brand from the ground up and bringing it to life online. From social media, to website creation, to packaging, to inspirational prints....the project list for a start-up is extensive. At the end of their launch year, we created a Giving Report that summarized the 189,083 meals donated in the first quarter.
Doll Tags
These 9 dolls were a part of the original launch. The dolls are handmade in Peru by a unique group of artisanal knitters.
Each doll comes with it's own tag that contains their name and favourite quote on the front. And their birthdays and character traits on the back.
Website Design
The cuddle+kind website is very content rich once viewers start navigating the site. For the landing page, I wanted to keep the design very light and airy, using ample white space to allow the photography to be the star. The imagery is updated on a regular basis to share product news and reflect the seasons.
Inspiration Wall
The client wanted an "inspiration wall" that represented the brand's values. These values drive everything they do at cuddle+kind, and reinforces what company stands for and are their ideals. This design was also printed on the tissue paper that the dolls get wrapped in for shipping.
Inspirational Prints
Each cuddle+kind doll has a favourite quote. The client wanted to offer these inspirational quotes as a designed, framable print for room décor. These prints would pick up on current trends in design, whether it be touches of gold foil, or a certain style of typography...while still being true to the doll and their personality.
